Journey Around Morocco

An intimate Moroccan night of tea, music, storytelling, and style — gathering in culture, creativity, and community! Click here to register

Journey Around Morocco: A Night of Culture, Creativity, and Community

“Journey Around Morocco” is a lively open mic and cultural experience hosted at Couscous Hice, one of Denver’s newest Moroccan restaurants. Through powerful storytelling, poetry, music, and shared food, we’ll journey across Morocco’s cities, coasts, deserts, and memories while coming together for a cause that matters.

On December 15, 2025, severe flash floods devastated Morocco’s coastal Safi region, claiming lives and displacing families who lost homes, belongings, and a sense of safety overnight. This night is both a celebration of Moroccan culture and a collective act of solidarity and giving.

Expect a dynamic lineup of featured performers Fouad Zaouague, Sara Filali, Amirah Aleem, Poetato, followed by an open mic welcoming community voices. Whether you come to perform, listen, or simply soak in the atmosphere, this is a space for expression, connection, and joy alongside grief and remembrance.

Author Sara Filali will be selling her book Hajeetek Majeetek at the event, with a portion of proceeds supporting flood relief efforts. A portion of all ticket sales will also be donated.

Your ticket includes a full Moroccan dinner prepared by Couscous Hice, making this a true sensory experience of food, art, and community.

Come for the culture. Stay for the stories. Leave knowing you helped make a difference.
